As President of Mountain View Firefighters, Local 1965, and on behalf of our entire membership, I would like to thank you for visiting our website.
In this fast-paced, technologically advanced age, we wanted to offer a tool that allows you get to know your Mountain View Firefighters a little better. Our firefighters are very active within the Mountain View Community, outside the normal hours of our work schedule. Our goal is to have this website open a communication pathway that allows us to share events with you and in return offer you the opportunity to share your thoughts and feelings with us. We place high value on the relationships we have with the residents and business members of the Mountain View community, and desire to enhance those relationships through our continued day to day interactions, website and social media access.
Local 1965 members are involved in a number of programs and charities (MV little league, Second Harvest Food Bank, Mountain View QUOTA Club, Mountain View Whisman School District, MVLA School District, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, Fallen Firefighter Foundation, Wounded Warrior, Special Olympics) and much more. We as firefighters appreciate the strong support of the Mountain View Community and continually desire to show our appreciation through our support of many of the local organizations that make Mountain View such a great place to live, work and visit.
Our number one goal as firefighters will always be to acquire the tools and training that allow us to best serve you, the Mountain View Community, and whether through political action, local partnerships or community advocacy our commitment will always be to ensure the highest level of safety of our community.
Please take the time to review our site and let us know what you think. I personally want to thank you for supporting your Mountain View Firefighters as we continue to serve you. I hope you find our website to be a great source of news and information regarding your firefighters involvement within the City of Mountain View and surrounding areas.
Sincerely,
Greg Cooper
